Make the most of any Wedding Expo or Bridal Show !
~ Plan to make a day of it. There are many vendors, and you want to make sure that you have time to speak with everyone you need to. ~ Come with an open mind. One of the best things about a Wedding Expo is that it gives you an opportunity to see what’s new and exciting, things you may not have thought of or considered. Make a list of what you will need most and what your budget will allow for each item and service. Be sure to leave some room for the unexpected – you never know when you may see something you’ll want to have that you never thought of. ~ Wear comfortable shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking around and standing when speaking to all the vendors. ~ Bring along a friend. It is good to have someone to share the experience with and to offer a second opinion. ~ Create a new email account. Register for a free email address that you can use when filling out forms. When the wedding is over you can cancel the account and not receive any unwanted wedding information. ~ Bring pre-printed self-adhesive address labels with the following information: your name, grooms name, address, phone number, email and wedding date. This will save you time and allow you to sign up for drawings or anything you want very quickly. ~ Bring a notebook to record specific notes on each booth. It will be difficult to remember which vendor told you what. You could see 15 photographers, 3 videographers, 4 bakers, 5 DJs… ~ Ask lots of questions. Bring a list of questions to ask the bridal vendors. They are there to help you. The best way to find out whether or not a service is right for you is to always have a conversation. You will determine, usually in the first few minutes, whether a service is right for you. Jot down any price quotes or tips they may have to offer. ~ Collect any information you are interested in so you can review it once you get home. ~ Browse but do not necessarily plan to buy that day. Meet with the bridal vendors to see what they have to offer but do not be pressured to book their services at the show. Bring your checkbook just in case you want to book a service or give a deposit to hold a date. Take information with you to go over at home. ~ Enjoy it! Wedding Expos and Shows are fun! Remember, if you don’t get it all done that day or weekend, there is another show in your area soon!
